**It is finally here the end of the 60 day paleo challenge!! Congrats to everyone who stuck with it. We saw a lot of big changes and we are so proud of you. Please make sure that your sheet is filled out completely and that we receive it. Only those who do this will be entered into the drawing. Also make sure that if you want to weigh and measure again you show up 10 minutes BEFORE class so that we can care of that for you. Great job everyone and remember this is only the beginning.**

We want to thank all those who came to the BBQ on Saturday. We are so blessed to be surrounded by such an amazing group of people. We feel lucky to know each and every one of you.  We also want to tell Frankie thank you for cooking all the meat for us, it was delicious, unforunately for him he is our permanent cook.

Joni — I agree with everything you said. Here is my story..
I lost 10 pounds and 3 inches in my waist. If I get brave I may post a before picture. When I did Kellie in June my time was 41 minutes. I did it a day late because I was out of town and had to do it alone.. DRUM ROLL~~ my time today was 33:50 and I jumped ALL but two or three box jumps..

Working as a group is awesome. Having complete strangers say keep going or you’re doing great is fantastic. It is not often that people can look themselves in the mirror and say wow you are amazing. Atleast this has never been easy for me. But, I am so proud of myself and even got a little weepy after the work out. It is amazing how getting the weight off has made me a happier person in all aspects of my life.

We all have baggage that we deal with everyday— My baggage just got a little lighter.. Oh wait 10 pounds lighter.. i had to present in a faculty meeting last week and three seperate people came up and asked me if I had lost weight!! I even had parents of my students asking the same thing.

Thank you everyone for your support– especially Kathy, Liz, Andy, James, and all my friends at the box. Thank you for always listening to me.. Use the recipes on the website!!!!! Oh and having the right shoes sure does help, spend the money Inov8 shoes are expensive but it sure has helped me .
    Love to all

Well-I am going to try and not write a book here-Lets start with the WOD
30:03 exactly the same time I got last time. I am happy with that.
Paleo challenge-more pounds and more inches lost. 2 more pounds and a whopping 1.5 inches.
It doesn’t sound like alot but for me its monumental.
Now..Thanks to Kat and Liz and Frankie for the BBQ-it was awesome and I was so happy to see so many people come out and how much everyone appreciated it.
ALSO-Thanks to my fam-all of them Kat, Liz Amy Matt Shae James and Andy for your support in my desire to get CrossFit Certified. For those of you who know me well know that what I did this weekend was really out of my comfort zone and not something that I would have even wanted or tried to do 2 years ago. So I am so blessed that I had so much support.
Now lets go back to talking Paleo. I am so sad to see another challenge come to an end. Happy as can be with my results.
I can tell you this. Good nutrition is so important. It’s hard work. It takes alot of planning, weighing, measuring, cooking, thinking, shopping and so on and so forth, you can ask any of the Paleo challengers who have successfully made it through the past 60 or 90 days how they feel, how they feel about how they look and ask them if its worth it. They will tell you yes.
The ONLY way to be successful in this is to go at it with everything. You have to work nutrition like it’s your JOB. There are SO SO SO many resources available if you will just take the time to research them. There are so many recipes posted here on the nutrition pages as well as Marias link and the Foodee project. If you aren’t covinced that it works-look at Jo- look at Holly and Jeff- Look at Mattie-look at ANYONE who has completed 30 or 60 or 90 days (no offense to anyone whom I didn’t name these are just the people I am most familiar with) and I know you can see the change. It’s been so fun to be involved in this challenge where the focus was NOT pounds lost or inches lost-where to focus was the 2 things that are most critical to our success-working out regularly and paleo adherence. It made the challenge so much more worth while.
I am going to wrap this up now but MUCH MUCH thanks to our box-and our trainers that care enough to go the extra mile to insure that we are all successful at what we are trying to do. Each of us have a different goal-I know what mine is-Do you know what yours is?

  4. Marianne says:

I didn’t want to, but I’m sooo glad I did! 33:08 RX!! 37:34 last time and didn’t RX. Very happy with the improvement. Thanks again, as always, for the encouragement to push harder this afternoon. I know I did better because of it.

  5. Mitch says:

    32:34 RX
What a great looking group of people, wished I didn’t have a prior commitment and would have been able to attend the BBQ, I know the food was healthier than the “wedding reception” food/cake.

  6. Steve says:

27:20rx. Glad I’m missing the normal 95 degree heat at 4:45 today!

  7. Kath says:

BBQ was awesome, fun time! Thanks Kat and Liz and of course Frankie who made it yummy!

This WOD is so hard and I wanted to cry…last time 37 this time 34:58 rx

    Bodybuilding vs Crossfit

This gave me a good laugh today and I just thought I would share it with you. This is for anyone that use to workout at a “Gold’s Gym” type of gym.

  9. Kris says:

Hey, I wanted to say “Thanks” for the BBQ! It was really fun and the food was great! Let’s do it again often, and more 6:30 class memebers show up! Please let me know who brought the sweet potatoe dish. I loved it! Will you share the recipe?

  10. christy says:

22:37 rx last time 23:25 rx

  11. Kris says:

29:39 w/ 14# ball and 20″ box, did step up 4 times on the box however, so did not earn RX. Will not step next time!

Wish I would have posted last time we did this. I think I improved my time though I seem to recall something past 30 min last time.

    Love/Hate this one!

  12. Shane says:

Last time we did Kelly my time was 41:15 Rx, today my time was 34:35 Rx. Wish I could do this with all my WODs.

  13. The BBQ was awesome! So much good healthy food that was paleo friendly! 🙂 A Giant Thank You goes to Frankie for being our Grill Master! The steak and chicken was awesome. I say we have one of these events again…soon! 🙂 Jeff and I are cautiously optimistic about our weigh-in and measurements tomorrow morning post-Paleo. We are still so sore from that horrendous WOD from Saturday I’m not sure we can handle Monday’s WOD! aakk! I’m going to have nightmares now….

  14. Rachel says:

Thanks for that awesome BBQ. Frankie is my new hero. We should have a Frankie WOD!
