After a brief stint in Nicaragua where he played at the top level of soccer, which included training with Nicaragua’s national team, he attended North Park University in Chicago, IL, and played on the University Men’s soccer team all 4 years. Alecio obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in physical education and shortly after 2003 began competing seriously in triathlons. Alecio has had success at all distances from the Sprint, up to the IronMan. Last year, Alecio qualified for the 2011 USAT Nationals (triathlons). Alecio qualified using principles found within CrossFit Endurance. Over the years, Alecio has helped other individuals prepare for endurance events of all kinds, including his most recent coaching of co-presenter, Julia Kyte, as they both participated in the 2012 Boise Half-IronMan. Alecio currently instructs on a part time basis at CrossFit Draper. He is CrossFit Level 1, CrossFit Endurance, and CrossFit Mobility certified. In addition, he is also a Utah State Certified E.M.T. as well as a First Aid C.P.R. Instructor, and an employee at Rio Tinto.

Gymnastics + Mobility = BLISS!! loved them both today., Gymnastics was great love the skills and drills..I really should be working on my muscle up progression but I honestly feel like I need to go backward and start from the beginning to move forward. There are so many fundamentals that I just skip..loving the gymnastics class. Tiffany is awesome!
Thanks for the mobility work Derrick..I really needed it..my arms have taken a brutal beating this week as I am sure everyone elses have..so nice to get the junk out!
Based on this weeks programming I am expecting something really dirty tomorrow..everyone get a good nights sleep 🙂
